The EasyBuild Managed fund is the default fund and unless told otherwise, we will automatically switch the member’s investment into the EasyBuild Cash fund over the four or five years before his or her selected retirement date.  This option helps to protect the member’s investment fund as they near retirement.

EasyBuild Cash Fund

The EasyBuild Cash fund aims to match the median return of similar cash funds as measured by the Russell/Mellon CAPS Pooled Pension Fund Survey without incurring excessive risk.

A member reaching his or her chosen retirement date would normally use the EasyBuild Cash fund. The fund is low risk and invests in a well diversified range of high quality bank and building society deposits.

The EasyBuild Stakeholder Pension scheme is a unit-linked Stakeholder personal pension.

EasyBuild offers two investment funds; each fund has different aims and levels of risk:

  • The Managed Fund is medium risk and aims to provide investment growth over the medium to long term.  It invests in a mix of company shares, loans to the government or companies, and cash deposits.

  • The Cash Fund is low risk and aims to keep the value of the fund at a consistent level. It invests in cash deposited with banks and the short-term money market.  A cash fund is normally used by someone nearing or reaching their chosen retirement date.
