The Health and Safety Executive estimate that over 28.5 million working days are lost each year due to illness and injury*.

On average employees take nearly 7.7 days sick each year**.

Your employer may be providing you with cover on the following healthcare plan, the cost of which will be met by your employer. You may decide to upgrade your corporate paid cover, arrange cover for your partner or add cover for your dependent children (if your employer is not providing this)***. These additional premiums will be collected through your wages/salary or by Direct Debit (please check with your employer).

Our new Healthcare plan provides cash benefits towards essential healthcare such as eyesight tests, dental treatment and physiotherapy to keep you on the move.

As well as maintaining essential healthcare, the plan also helps if you're concerned about a medical problem providing you with cash towards diagnostic consultations and access to MRI, CT and PET scanning facilities.

In addition to the health cover above, your employer may have also provided one or all of the following three additional benefits:

Surgery Choices: Waiting for non-urgent operations and surgical procedures can be a long and stressful process. Surgery Choices gives you cover for 60 different procedures for conditions such as gallstones, hernias, hip replacements and slipped discs. The benefit gives you reassurance that if you are unable to obtain speedy access to treatment through the NHS, you can access private treatment quickly.

DoctorLine™ incorporating Health Club Concession: Gives 24hr worldwide access to a qualified practicing GP as well as special deals at UK health and fitness clubs helping to keep you fit and well.

For Kids: Provides your dependent children with access to diagnostic consultation and therapy treatments, as well as cash benefits towards the cost of their dental and optical expenses. Cover for your dependent children are provided at the same plan level as you, even if you have upgraded your corporate paid cover.
